Coming right along

This week's pics really look like a house! We have a roof, and windows, and even a front door! Today we went and took measurements for things like the appliances and the TV nook.

Photos from March 31:

We be homeless!

Our house sold! Woohoo! Unfortunately, our closing date is April 30. Our townhouse won't be ready until May 31. Uh-oh. Can we come stay with you?

We're not sure yet what we're going to do. Probably stay with friends/family. If you'd like to adopt a cat or dog for a few weeks, please let us know! =)

Here are the photos from March 25. Going vertical!

Color selections

We have recently chosen all of our interior and exterior colors. We chose a blue for the front door and a sage/gray for the siding (same as the model). Our interior wall color is lazy gray (click on link and search lazy gray):

Here is our ceramic tile. Our floors and backsplash will be done in this. On the backsplash we will have little blue and gray glass mosaic tiles inlaid in with it at the corners.

Here is the layout of the neighborhood:

Out lot # is 38:

About our community

Our new neighborhood is called the Townes at Landover . The neighborhood consists mostly of single family homes, and the last phase is for the townhouses. They are still in the first phase of townhouse construction, and there are probably a dozen already sold so far. Click here for a real life photo of the model. Ours is the Duke (bleh, I know, I know) floorplan (in the middle of a row of three townhomes), which is 3 bedrooms/2.5 baths with a loft. The loft ROCKS! It will be our office, which frees up a bedroom, and I am so excited about the loft.

We are located off of Forestville Rd. and you can see the neighborhood (and our house!) from the newest bit of I-540 (right before you get to Buffaloe Rd.). Talk about convenient!

Here are the first construction photos- we meant to get pics before they started construction, but oh well. These are from March 10th:

And here's our house:

Just an idea

I thought it would be fun to archive the construction process of our new townhouse via Blogger, so here goes nothing. Now I gotta figure out how to post pictures and stuff. That ought to be fun, considering I know nothing about Blogger.

Things are moving right along- as I post some pics I'll try to briefly describe everything. So enjoy!
